The history of Juventus F.C. covers over 120 years of association football from the club based in Turin, Italy, and established in 1897 that would eventually become the most successful team in the history of Italian football and amongst the elite football clubs of the world. ''Iuventūs'' is Latin for "youth". According to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics, an international organization recognized by FIFA, Juventus were Italy's best club of the 20th century and the second most successful European club in the same period. Velodrome Umberto I
Velodrome Humbert I, commonly known in Italian as ''Velodromo Umberto I'', was an early cycling velodrome and, from 1898, a football ground in Turin. The velodrome was named in honour of then King Humbert I of Savoy. During its time in use it was used by several clubs, it was located within the La Crocetta neighbourhood of Turin, within the Corso Re Umberto park near Mauriziano hospital. The velodrome is noted for been the host of the first ever Italian Football Championship in 1898. As thus, the first ever Italian Championship game was played there on the 8 May 1898 between Internazionale Torino and FBC Torinese. Raimundo Orsi
Raimundo Bibiani "Mumo" Orsi (2 December 1901 – 6 April 1986) was an Italian Argentine footballer who played as a winger or as a forward. At the international level he represented both Argentina and Italy, winning the 1927 Copa América and the silver medal at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with Argentina, as well as two editions of the Central European International Cup and the 1934 FIFA World Cup, with Italy. 1934 FIFA World Cup
The 1934 FIFA World Cup was the second edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football championship for senior men's national teams. It took place in Italy from 27 May to 10 June 1934. The 1934 World Cup was the first in which teams had to qualify to take part. Thirty-two nations entered the competition; 16 teams would qualify for the final tournament. Reigning champions Uruguay boycotted the tournament as only four European teams had accepted their invitation to the 1930 tournament. Italy beat Czechoslovakia, 2–1, to become the second World Cup champions and the first European winners. Vittorio Pozzo
Vittorio Pozzo (; 2 March 1886 – 21 December 1968) was an Italian football player, manager and journalist. The creator of the ''Metodo'' tactical formation, Pozzo is regarded as one of the greatest managers of all time, and is the only manager to guide a national team to two FIFA World Cup titles as coach, leading the Italy national team to victory in the 1934 and 1938 FIFA World Cups. 1925–26 Prima Divisione
The 1925–26 Prima Divisione season, its final season, was won by Juventus. Northern League Regular season Udinese and Parma FC had been promoted from the Second Division.
