Hiroyuki Asada
is a Japanese manga artist who is best known for his gaslamp fantasy series ''Tegami Bachi'' ("Letter Bee"). The first manga series he created was called '' I'll'', and was a basketball series. All of Asada's manga were serialized in the monthly shōnen anthology ''Monthly Shōnen Jump'' (which has since been discontinued; ''Tegami Bachi'' now appears in its replacement ''Jump Square''). He made his debut in 1986. He acquired a fanbase with '' Mint: Sleeping Rabbit'', '' Renka'' by degrees, and his popularity improved with ''I'll''. In his personal life, he is part of a unit with Shou Tajima (best known for ''Psych'') and Takeshi Obata (best known for ''Hikaru no Go'' and ''Death Note''), and his creation activity with " AQUARIOS 3". Renka
, or , is a Japanese form of popular collaborative linked verse poetry. It is a development of the older Japanese poetic tradition of ''ushin'' renga, or orthodox collaborative linked verse. At renku gatherings participating poets take turns providing alternating verses of 17 and 14 morae. Initially ''haikai no renga'' distinguished itself through vulgarity and coarseness of wit, before growing into a legitimate artistic tradition, and eventually giving birth to the haiku form of Japanese poetry. The term ''renku'' gained currency after 1904, when Kyoshi Takahama started to use it. Dororo (2019 TV Series)
is a 2019 anime television series produced by MAPPA and Tezuka Productions based on the manga of the same name by Osamu Tezuka, and is a re-adaptation of the previous 1969 series. The adaptation departs from the source material in several ways, but follows the basic premise of the manga: a young '' ronin'', named Hyakkimaru, along with a young child, Dororo, must face multiple demons in Sengoku-era Japan who have stolen his various body parts in order to get them back. The main innovation was the new portrayal of Hyakkimaru, a weaker samurai than the one written by Tezuka with director Kazuhiro Furuhashi among other staff member conceiving the alternate of take of the young swordsman becoming a new person following his journey with Dororo in a similar manner to buddy films. is a Japanese novel written by Ryō Asai, first published on October 5, 2010, by Shueisha. It follows the members of a university's all-male cheerleading squad. The novel is loosely based on the real-life men's cheerleading team "Shockers" from Waseda University. The series was also adapted as a manga by Kenichi Kondō for the ''Shōnen Jump+'' app starting on April 5, 2016. An anime adaptation started airing on July 5, 2016. It is directed by Ai Yoshimura and written by Reiko Yoshida for the studio Brain's Base. A live action film directed by Hiroki Kazama is slated to open in early 2019. Hikaru No Go
is a Japanese manga series based on the board game Go, written by Yumi Hotta and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The production of the series' Go games was supervised by Go professional Yukari Umezawa. It was serialized in Shueisha's ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from 1999 to 2003, with its chapters collected into 23 ''tankōbon'' volumes. The story follows Hikaru, who discovers a Go board in his grandfather's attic one day. The object turns out to be haunted by a ghost named Sai, the emperor's former Go teacher in the Heian era. Sai finds himself trapped in Hikaru's mind and gradually gives him a taste for Go. Takeshi Obata
is a Japanese manga artist that usually works as the illustrator in collaboration with a writer. He first gained international attention for ''Hikaru no Go'' (1998–2003) with Yumi Hotta, but is better known for '' Death Note'' (2003–2006) and ''Bakuman'' (2008–2012) with Tsugumi Ohba. Obata has mentored several well-known manga artists, including Nobuhiro Watsuki of ''Rurouni Kenshin'' fame, '' Black Cat'' creator Kentaro Yabuki, and ''Eyeshield 21'' artist Yusuke Murata. Career Takeshi Obata chose to be a manga artist because he always loved drawing. As a child he re-read Shotaro Ishinomori's ''Cyborg 009'' over and over.
