Sayaka Hirano
is a Japanese five-time national table tennis champion. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics, reaching the third round of the singles competition. She also competed in the team competition, reaching the bronze medal final but losing to South Korea. At the 2012 London Olympics Women's Team Event semi-finals, she helped Japan overcome Singapore to reach their historic first final by winning her doubles match with Kasumi Ishikawa over Wang Yuegu and Li Jiawei (11-3, 13-11 and 11–4). Japan failed to beat China in the final, but won the first ever silver medal for their country in table tennis. In March 2016, it was announced that she would be retiring after the Japanese Table Tennis League Big Tournament in April. Ryoichi Hirano
Ryoichi Hirano (平野 亮一, born 1983/84) is a Japanese ballet dancer who is currently a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet in London. Early life Hirano was born in Osaka. He had his ballet training at his mother's dance school. His brother was a dancer with the National Ballet of Canada. Career In 2001, after Hirano competed at the Prix de Lausanne, he became an apprentice with The Royal Ballet in London. He made his stage debut as a corps dancer in the third act of Cranko's ''Onegin (ballet), Onegin''. He joined the company as an Artist in 2002, then became a First Artist in 2007, Soloist in 2008 and First Soloist in 2012. In 2016, at age 32, Hirano was promoted to Principal Dancer. He and Akane Takada, who was promoted the same year, are the third and fourth Japanese principal dancers in the company, after Tetsuya Kumakawa and Miyako Yoshida. Hirano Nagayasu
was a samurai retainer to Japanese warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Azuchi-Momoyama period of the 17th century. He was known as one of the "Seven Spears of Shizugatake". Following the Battle of Shizugatake in 1583, Nagayasu came to be known as one of the ''shichi-hon-yari'' (七本槍), or Seven Spears of Shizugatake. These Seven would be among Hideyoshi's most trusted generals. Owing to his achievement in that battle, he was rewarded with 3,000 additional koku.
