Hingol Dam
Hingol Dam is a proposed small, low-head, Central Core Zone, hydroelectric power generation dam of 3.5 megawatt generation capacity, located in Lasbela District across Hingol River in Balochistan Province of Pakistan at a distance of North West of Karachi and about North of Bridge across Hingol River on Makran Coastal Highway and about north of Kund Malir where the river falls into the sea. Main Uses With the construction of the proposed Hingol Dam, flood waters of Hingol River will be stored. Gross storage of the reservoir is 2.10 MAF of which an average of about 1.3 MAF water will be annually available for developing irrigated agriculture of command area of 80,000 acres. This project will produce 3.5 MW of power generation with annual energy of 4.4 GWh. Hingol River or Hungol River ( ur, ) is located in the Makran region, in the Gwadar District of southeastern Balochistan Province, in southwestern Pakistan. The river and valley are protected within Hingol National Park. Geography The Hingol River is long, the longest in Balochistan. Hinglaj Mata (Hindi: हिंगलाज माता, bal, هنگلاج ماتا, ), also known as Hinglaj Devi, Hingula Devi and Nani Mandir, is a Hindu temple in Hinglaj, a town on the Makran coast in the Lasbela district of Balochistan, and is the middle of the Hingol National Park. Duber Khwar Hydropower Project
The Duber Khwar Hydropower Plant is located near the town of Pattan in Kohistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan on the Duber Khwar River, a right bank tributary of the Indus River. It is approximately 340 km NW from Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan. The total electricity generation capacity of the Duber Khwar project is 130 MW. There are two vertical Pelton wheel turbine units of 65 MW installed at the Duber Khwar Hydroelectric Station. These turbines are manufactured by Andritz Hydro Austria. Andritz Hydro Austria supplied and installed the complete electro-mechanical equipment and services with a focus on its "water to wire" concept. The supplies consisted of two 65 MW Pelton-type turbines with a rated head of 516 m, associated generators and generator auxiliaries and the complete electrical power systems. Gomal Zam Dam
Gomal Zam Dam ( ur, ) is a multi-purpose gravity dam in South Waziristan Tribal District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The dam impounds the Gomal River, a tributary of the Indus River, at Khjori Kach, where the Gomal River passes through a narrow ravine. The purpose of the dam is irrigation, flood control, and hydroelectric power generation. Construction of the dam began in August 2001 and was completed in April 2011. Satpara Dam is a medium-size multi-purpose concrete-faced earth-filled dam located downstream from Satpara Lake on the Satpara Stream approximately 4 km from the town of Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The dam has enlarged the size of Satpara Lake, generates 17.36 MW of hydroelectricity, supplies power to approximately 30,000 households in the Skardu Valley, irrigates of land and supplies 3.1 million gallons per day of drinking water to Skardu city. Hingol National Park or Hungol National Park ( ur, ) is the largest national park in Pakistan, located in the Makran coastal region. The park covers an area of about and is located 190 km from Karachi in the three districts of Gwadar, Lasbela and Awaran in Balochistan. Hingol was declared a national park in 1988.
