Gobardanga Hindu College
Gobardanga Hindu College, established in 1947, is a general degree college in Gobardanga, West Bengal, India. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences and postgraduate courses in arts. It is currently affiliated to West Bengal State University (formerly affiliated to University of Calcutta). In 2016, it was reaccredited grade A by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for the second successive time. History The college started to function formally with the departments of English, Bengali, Sanskrit, History, Logic, Elements of Civics and Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Chemistry, Physics, Biology to the I.Sc. Trincomalee Hindu College
Ramakrishna Mission Sri Koneswara Hindu College (also known as Trincomalee Hindu College or Trinco Hindu College) is a national school in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. History The school was founded in 1897 by leading Hindus. It was administered by a Board of Management. It became a government primary school in 1922. The Board of Management handed the school over to the Ramakrishna Mission on 1 June 1925. Swami Vipulananda administered the school on behalf of the mission. The school obtained senior secondary status in 1932. The school was forced to move to temporary premises during World War II, but moved back to its original premises in 1945. The school became a Grade One school in 1952. Since its foundation, the school had functioned with two separate divisions: Hindu Boys Tamil School and Hindu Boys English School. Kokuvil Hindu College ( ta, கொக்குவில் இந்துக் கல்லூரி ''Kokkuvil Intuk Kallūri'', KHC) is a provincial school in Kokkuvil, Sri Lanka. During colonial times, Christianity had a great influence on people and education was in the hands of Missionaries. As English was the official language then, there were only English medium schools. In the year 1900, three dignified people had a desire to start a school in Kokuvil. They were teachers of Jaffna Hindu College namely Mr. Somaskanthar, Mr. Chelliah and Mr. Appakuddi. With the support of well-wishers, a school was begun in Appakuddi's house. When students came from other villages to attend the school the number of students increased and the school was recognised as primary institution and Mr. Chelliah was appointed as the first Head Master by The Jaffna Hindu Board.
