Abel James Hindle (1870–1954) was a farmer and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Willow Bunch in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 1917 to 1925 as a Liberal. He was born in Churchill, Ontario, the son of Abel James Hindle and Mary Ann McKay, and was educated in Owen Sound. His grandparents had come to Canada from Lancashire, England. In 1898, Hindle married Minnie Sinclair. He operated a large farm west of Owen Sound until 1911, when the Hindles moved to Saskatchewan. Arthur Hindle is a Canadian actor and director. Early life and education Hindle was born in Halifax. For 12 years, he alternated living with his divorced parents in addition to living in foster homes. He grew up in Bowmanville, and later at The Beaches area of Toronto, attending Riverdale Collegiate and Malvern Collegiate. Emma Hindle (born 19 May 1975) is a British international equestrian. She first rode for her country in 2004, competing in the World Equestrian Games of that year, and competed for Great Britain in Dressage at both the Athens and Beijing Olympic Games. Early life Hindle was born in Preston, Lancashire on 19 May 1975, the daughter of multimillionaire property developer John Hindle. After riding a donkey on the beach at Blackpool aged four, she began taking regular riding lessons at her aunt's stables. John Hindle (6 April 1857 – 29 December 1927) was an Australian politician. Born at Rishton in Lancashire to William Hindle and Elizabeth Woolstonecraft, he received a limited education and began working in a cotton factory at the age of eleven. After arriving in Melbourne in 1871, he established his own business in 1878. In 1881 he was President of the Salesman and Assistants Union. He married Robina Bardsley in 1882, with whom he had three daughters. He relocated to Sydney in 1884. Madge Hindle (born Madge Railton; 19 May 1938) is an English actress, known for her roles in British television shows. Career Hindle was born in Blackburn, Lancashire. Her break came when her friend, playwright Alan Bennett, asked her to appear in his 1966 BBC comedy series ''On the Margin''. From 1968 to 1973, she played the role of Lily Tattersall on the series ''Nearest and Dearest''. When the series' director, Bill Podmore, took over as producer of ''Coronation Street'', he thought of her when he created the role of the feisty shopkeeper, Renee Bradshaw.
