Hinde Boujemaa
Hinde Boujemaa is a half-Tunisian, half-Belgian film director. Life Boujemaa did a degree in marketing, worked in makeup and special effects, and brought up children before starting her career in filmmaking. In 2006 she studied scriptwriting in a French correspondence course school, and in 2009 wrote a feature film, ''Under Paradise'', which won the Sud Ecriture prize at the Carthage Film Festival. Carthage Film Festival
The Carthage Film Festival (CFF) is an annual film festival that takes place in Tunis and founded in 1966. It is also called by its abbreviation JCC, from its French name, , or by its Arabic title, (''Cinema Days of Carthage''). Initially biennial alternating with the Carthage Theatre Festival, the festival became an annual event in 2014. A directing committee chaired by the Tunisian Ministry of Culture, joined with professionals of the cinema industry, is in charge of the organization. The Carthage Film Festival has been designed as a film festival engaged in the cause of African and Arab countries and enhancing the South cinema in general. Tunisian Revolution
The Tunisian Revolution, also called the Jasmine Revolution, was an intensive 28-day campaign of civil resistance. It included a series of street demonstrations which took place in Tunisia, and led to the ousting of longtime president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in January 2011. It eventually led to a thorough democratisation of the country and to free and democratic elections. The demonstrations were caused by high unemployment, food inflation, corruption, a lack of political freedoms (such as freedom of speech) and poor living conditions. The protests constituted the most dramatic wave of social and political unrest in Tunisia in three decades and resulted in scores of deaths and injuries, most of which were the result of action by police and security forces. Noura's Dream
''Noura's Dream'' (french: Noura Rêve; ar, نورا تحلم) is a 2019 Tunisian drama film directed by Hinde Boujemaa and co-produced by Marie Besson, François d'Artemare, Tatjana Kozar, Imed Marzouk and Samuel Tilman for Propaganda Production. The film stars Hind Sabri in the titular lead role whereas Lotfi Abdelli, Hakim Boumsaoudi and Imen Cherif made supportive roles. It is a love triangle between Noura, Jamal and Lassad which is not lawful according to the Tunisian law which severely punishes adultery. The film has been shot in Tunis, Tunisia. The film made its premier on 25 June 2020. The film received mixed reviews from critics.
