Himmat (1970 Film)
''Himmat'' () is a 1970 Hindi-language action film, produced by P. Mallikharjuna Rao under the Bharathi International Films banner and directed by Ravikant Nagaich. It stars Jeetendra, Mumtaz and music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The film is remake of Telugu film '' Adrushtavanthulu'' (1968). Plot Raghu a notorious criminal acquitted from jail as a reformed when he challenges Inspector Mathur to prove himself. Here, Raghu's previous hoodlum chair gives a warm welcome which he denies and quits the place. Yet, the Boss covets to get hold of him due to his caliber. Now, Raghu gets acquainted with a mechanic Tiger and turns into a truck driver. Once on a journey, they hit upon a beautiful girl Malti in male guise. Ravikant Nagaich
Ravikant Nagaich (5 July 1931 – 6 January 1991) was an Indian film personality. He is an Indian film personality born at Atrauli, Aligarh- Uttar Pradesh, India in a Brahmin family. He started his filming career as a cinematographer in Telugu films, N.T. Rama Rao's ''Sri Seetha Rama Kalyanam'' in 1961 being his first film. With ''Farz (1967 film), Farz'', he turned to Hindi movies and direction. This low-budget thriller inspired by ''James Bond'' was a surprise hit and helped Ravikant and the film's lead pair's (Jeetendra and Babita) career. Dharmendra acted as Agent 116 Gopal in ''Keemat (1973 film), Keemat'' (1973).
