Himberg (Sandefjord)
Himberg is an exclave in Sandefjord, Sandefjord municipality, which is surrounded by Larvik, Larvik municipality. Numerous efforts with the goal of merging Himberg into surrounding Larvik have failed. The Schei Committee in 1960 tried to exchange Vannøya Island, an island near Sandefjord which belonged to Larvik (Tjølling) until 1988. However, the attempt proved unsuccessful due to local opposition. A new annexation attempt took place in 1995, but was ultimately canceled due to opposition from “patriotic” Sandefjord residents in Himberg. Himberg is a rural agricultural community which consists of about ten households. It has a population of about 40 as of 2014, and has a total area of 1.4 km2 (0.54 sq. mi.). Sandefjord
Sandefjord () is a city and the most populous municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The municipality of Sandefjord was established on 1 January 1838. The municipality of Sandar was merged into Sandefjord on 1 January 1969. On 1 January 2017, rural municipalities of Andebu and Stokke were merged into Sandefjord as part of a nationwide municipal reform. This merger was the first one to take place during the reform. Larvik
Larvik () is a List of cities in Norway, town and Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Larvik. The municipality of Larvik has about 46,364 inhabitants. The municipality has a 110 km coastline, only shorter than that of neighbouring Sandefjord. The city achieved market town status in 1671. Vannøya Island
Vanna or Vannøya is a rocky island in Karlsøy Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. At , Vanna is the 17th largest island in Norway by area. The highest peak is the mountain Vanntinden at a height of above sea level. The population of the island (2017) is 799. Vannvåg and Vannareid are the two main population centres on the island. Sengskroken Church is located on the western coast of the island. The islands of Nordkvaløya and Helgøya lie to the west of the island, and Nord-Fugløya and Arnøya lie to the east of it. Tjølling
Tjølling is a former municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. Tjølling was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Together with Brunlanes, Stavern and Hedrum, it was merged into Larvik on January 1, 1988. Tjølling had 7,878 residents at one point, as well as an area of 70km². Tjøllingvollen is currently a village and a town that was the municipal center in the then Tjølling municipality. Geography and demography Tjølling includes the 69,5 km² area between Numedalslågen and Sandefjordsfjorden, south of European route E18, E18. There's some agriculture and numerous Quarry, quarries excavating of larvikite in Tjølling.
