Hilman Walker
Hilman Bernard Walker (October 10, 1912 – May 12, 1983) was an American college football player and coach and college and Minor League Baseball player. Walker played football at the University of Alabama as an end. He served as the head football coach at Arizona State Teachers College at Tempe—now known as Arizona State University— for one season, in 1942, compiling a record of 2–8. The Alabama Crimson Tide football program represents the University of Alabama (variously Alabama, UA, or Bama) in the sport of American football. The 1942 college football season was the 74th season of intercollegiate football in the United States. Competition included schools from the Big Ten Conference, the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC), the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the Big Six Conference, the Southern Conference, the Southwestern Conference, and numerous smaller conferences and independent programs.
