Erik Hillestad
Erik Hillestad (born 12 December 1951) is a Norwegian record producer and lyricist. He is founder and manager of the company and record label Kirkelig Kulturverksted. He has received several awards for his works, including a 1992 Fritt Ord Honorary Award. Personal life Hillestad was born in Oslo, a son of priest Olaf Ludvig Zwilgmeyer Hillestad and Sigrid Engeset. He married Marianne Lystrup in 1971, and is a brother-in-law of Geirr Lystrup. Career Hillestad established in 1974 the record company Kirkelig Kulturverksted, for which he has produced a large part of the releases. Internationally he has worked with music collaborations focusing on human rights and solidarity. In Ecuador (from 1990), Palestine (from 1992), South Africa (1994), Azerbaijan (1997), Iran (from 2007), Turkey (from 2012), Lebanon and Egypt (from 2013). Edmund Hillestad
Edmund Hillestad (January 6, 1861 – September 28, 1946) was an American businessman and member of the South Dakota House of Representatives. Biography Hillestad was born in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. He was the son of Amund Hillestad and Anna Andersdatter Hillestad. His family moved to South Dakota in 1879. He was married to Bertha Thompson Hillestad (1861–1925), with whom he had eight children. Hillestad was president and secretary of the Farmers' Mutual Tornado Insurance and the Farmers' Mutual of Volga. He also served on the board of directors of the First National Bank of Volga. He died in Volga, South Dakota and was buried at the First Lutheran Cemetery in Brookings County, South Dakota. Per Hillestad (born 25 March 1959 in Øvre Årdal, Norway) is a Norwegian musician (drums) and record producer, known as drummer in Lava and was contributing in releases by a-ha, Vamp, Jonas Fjeld, Bjølsen Valsemølle and Marius Müller. Career Hillestad founded "supergroup" Lava in Årdal 1977, together with Kjell Hestetun, Stein Eriksen and Svein Dag Hauge. From 1980 Lava released a series of albums receiving very good reviews. They were awarded Spellemannsprisen in 1984 for the album ''Fire'', and has been nominated for the award several times. Lava has among others toured together with the vocalist Randy Crawford in Australia, Asia and Africa. Hillestad also played on albums by Vigdis Eidsvåg (''Mørk Og Mjuk'' 2000), D.D.E. Tovdal Church ( no, Tovdal kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Åmli Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Hillestad. It is one of the churches for the Åmli parish which is part of the Aust-Nedenes prosti ( deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1820 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 105 people. History The earliest existing historical records of the church date back to the year 1594, but the church was not new that year. The first church on this site was a stave church that may have been built in the 13th century. Gro Hillestad Thune (born 19 January 1943) is a Norwegian jurist and politician for the Labour Party. Born in Oslo, she served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus during the term 1977–1981. She chaired the Norwegian Consumer Council from 1977 to 1984.
