Hillcrest Christian College is an independent Christian school located in Reedy Creek, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The medium-size, co-educational, Christian school has approximately 1500 students enrolled in each semester with students ranging from Pre-Prep to Year 12. Hillcrest Grammar School
Hillcrest Grammar School in Cale Green, Stockport, Greater Manchester was a private day school with around 200 pupils aged 3 to 16. The school was founded as a boys' preparatory school in 1940 on Hillcrest Road in Bramhall. It became co-educational in the 1950s and also started to take pupils up to age 16 and added Grammar to its title. The school moved in 1983 to the former "Stockport High School for Girls" building built in 1910 in the Cale Green district of Stockport, close to Davenport railway station. The old part of the building is locally listed. A sports hall with four badminton courts was built in 1994 and a new pre-preparatory department in 2003. A new Preparatory Building with facilities for the Nursery was opened by Olympic Swimmer Michael Rock in October 2009. The school closed in July 2014 due to financial issues that began in 2007. Hillcrest Youth Correctional Facility was a state-run juvenile correctional facility located in Salem, Oregon, United States, established in 1914. Hillcrest was run by the Oregon Youth Authority (OYA), Oregon's juvenile corrections agency. It was closed on September 1, 2017, and all youth, staff, and programs were moved to MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn as part of a major project to consolidate the two facilities. Hillcrest was originally founded as the State Industrial School for Girls, following the 1891 establishment of a boys' reformatory school. It later became co-gender in the 1970s, and served males ages 12–25 who were violent or in need of substance abuse treatment. The facility had a budgeted capacity of 180 beds. History Racial segregation Hillcrest was established in 1970 as a segregation academy in response to the court-ordered integration of public schools. In 1985, W.J Simmons, chair of the state White Citizens Council, discussed the history of the school with '' Clarion-Ledger''. Hillcrest School is a secondary school for girls (and mixed sixth form) in the California area of Bartley Green, Birmingham, in the West Midlands of England. History It was established as Bartley Green Grammar School for Girls on 7 September 1954, although the official opening by Sir Wilfred Martineau did not take place until 13 July 1955. Hillcrest Secondary College was a Victorian Government secondary college. The college was located in Broadmeadows a largely working class suburb of Melbourne, Australia. Hillcrest provided a comprehensive education from years 7 through to 12 offering both VCE and VCAL qualifications at Year 11 and 12 levels. Hillcrest ceased to exist after a merger with neighbouring Erinbank and Broadmeadows Secondary Colleges. The merged schools formed Hume Central Secondary College.
