Hilbrand Boschma
Hilbrand Boschma (22 April 1893 – 22 July 1976) was a Dutch zoologist and director of the Rijksmuseum of Natural History in Leiden. Boschma studied botany and zoology at the University of Amsterdam. He went to the former Dutch East Indies, where he studied embryology, functional morphology in reptiles and amphibians, and stony corals. He joined a Danish expedition to the Kai Islands in 1922 as an associate of the Danish zoologist Dr. Th. Mortensen and sampled and studied corals. He is taxon author of (among other invertebrate organisms) several different species of fire corals. Thereafter Boschma went back to The Netherlands to take up the post of chief assistant at the Zoological Laboratory of the State University at Leiden. In 1925 he started giving lectures in general zoology for medical students, and in 1931 he became professor of general zoology. Ysbrechtum
Ysbrechtum ( nl, IJsbrechtum) is a village 1 km from the city of Sneek in Friesland, Netherlands. It had a population of around 690 in January 2017. Ysbrechtum contains the , an old estate (house), estate. History The village was first mentioned in the 13th century as Jsbrectum, and means "the settlement of IJsbrecht." Ysbrechtum is a ''terp'' (artificial living hill) village which developed in the early middle ages. The Dutch Reformed church was built in 1694 as a replacement of its 11th or 12th century predecessor. In 1865, the church was modified and the tower was rebuilt. Epema State is a ''stins'' which dated from before 1449. Invertebrate
Invertebrates are a paraphyletic group of animals that neither possess nor develop a vertebral column (commonly known as a ''backbone'' or ''spine''), derived from the notochord. This is a grouping including all animals apart from the chordate subphylum Vertebrata. Familiar examples of invertebrates include arthropods, mollusks, annelids, echinoderms and cnidarians. The majority of animal species are invertebrates; one estimate puts the figure at 97%. Many invertebrate taxa have a greater number and variety of species than the entire subphylum of Vertebrata. ''Lophichthys boschmai'', also known as Arafura frogfish or Boschma's frogfish, is a species of anglerfishes closely related to frogfish. ''L. boschmai'' is the only species in the Lophichthydae family. ''Draco'' is a genus of agamid lizards that are also known as flying lizards, flying dragons or gliding lizards.
