Higher Education Service Institutes
The Higher Education Services Institutes ( id, Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi, LLDIKTI) is a system of institutions formed by the Indonesian government to provide guidance to the universities in its area of responsibility, either the university is private or public university, inside the jurisdiction of Indonesia. For the most of its existence, the system was placed under the Ministry of Education and Culture, before transferred to Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education during Joko Widodo's first cabinet. It was briefly returned to the Ministry of Education and Culture, before transferred again to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology after second reshuffle of his second cabinet. Joko Widodo (; born 21 June 1961), popularly known as Jokowi, is an Indonesian politician and businessman who is the 7th and current president of Indonesia. The Working Cabinet ( id, Kabinet Kerja) was sworn in on 27 October 2014, by President of Indonesia Joko Widodo. History Background On 15 September, president-elect Joko Widodo stated that his cabinet would have 34 members, with 18 coming from professional backgrounds and 16 from political parties in his coalition. The cabinet was due to be announced on Wednesday 22 October, and a stage had been prepared at Jakarta's Tanjung Priok harbour, but this event was cancelled at the last minute. The delays were caused by the decision of Joko Widodo to wait for comments from the People's Representative Council. Mohamad Nasir
Mohamad Nasir (born June 27, 1960, in Ngawi Regency, Indonesia) is an Indonesian politician and professor. He was the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia in the Working Cabinet (2014–2019). He was appointed by President Joko Widodo on October 27, 2014, replacing Gusti Muhammad Hatta. He was rector-elect of Diponegoro University in Indonesia and was supposed to be sworn in on December 18, 2014. Early life and education Mohamad Nasir was born in Ngawi, East Java. He was raised in Rembang, Central Java where he lived with his parents. Nasir schooled at Pondok Pesantren Al-Islah. Nadiem Anwar Makarim (born 4 July 1984) is an Indonesian politician and businessman who is the current minister of education, culture, research, and technology of Indonesia. Prior to entering politics, in 2010, he founded Gojek, Indonesia's first startup valued over US$10 billion.
