High Noon Toons
High Noon Toons was a three-hour programming block of cartoons hosted by two cowboy hand puppets named Haas and Lil' Jo (a Bonanza reference) shown on Cartoon Network in the mid-1990s. The series was made by Matt Thompson and Adam Reed, who later went on to create adult-themed cartoon series such as ''Sealab 2021'' and ''Frisky Dingo'' for Adult Swim and ''Archer'' for FX. Often the show had special themes, such as "''Quick Draw McGraw'': Pure Mustang". Haas and Lil' Jo also hosted Cartoon Network's "Spring Break '95", with the two on a beach setting with bikini-clad Barbie dolls, and which showed Spring Break-related cartoons. They also hosted the Thanksgiving Cartoon Parade in 1995. Creation and cancellation Matt Thompson had been working for Turner for a while already in the early 1990s, when his boss at Cartoon Network liked his sense of humor. Thompson was then asked to come up with some funny interstitial material for a new three-hour block of cartoons. When it came time ...

Cartoons
A cartoon is a type of visual art that is typically drawn, frequently animated, in an unrealistic or semi-realistic style. The specific meaning has evolved over time, but the modern usage usually refers to either: an image or series of images intended for satire, caricature, or humor; or a motion picture that relies on a sequence of illustrations for its animation. Someone who creates cartoons in the first sense is called a ''cartoonist'', and in the second sense they are usually called an ''animator''. The concept originated in the Middle Ages, and first described a preparatory drawing for a piece of art, such as a painting, fresco, tapestry, or stained glass window. In the 19th century, beginning in ''Punch'' magazine in 1843, cartoon came to refer – ironically at first – to humorous artworks in magazines and newspapers. Then it also was used for political cartoons and comic strips. When the medium developed, in the early 20th century, it began to refer to animated films ...

The show was a satirical parody of both the original ''Sealab'' series and the general conventions of the 1970s animated children's series. While there was initial resistan ...

''Archer'' is an American adult animated sitcom created by Adam Reed for FX which premiered on September 17, 2009. The show follows the exploits of a dysfunctional intelligence agency, centered on Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) and seven of his colleagues—his mother/boss Malory Archer (Jessica Walter), Lana Kane (Aisha Tyler), Cyril Figgis (Chris Parnell), Cheryl Tunt (Judy Greer), Pam Poovey (Amber Nash), Ray Gillette (Adam Reed) and Dr. Algernop Krieger (Lucky Yates). The show is set in an anachronistic, Cold War-esque universe and parodies espionage, culture and society, and the human condition.
