Aldro Hibbard
Aldro Thompson Hibbard (August 25, 1886 – November 12, 1972) was an American plein air painter known for his depictions of snowy landscapes, particularly of Vermont. Hibbard worked in oil, as watercolor couldn't be used in January and February in the mountains of Vermont. He lived most of his life in Rockport, Massachusetts. Early life Hibbard was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts to James Thompson Hibbard and to the former Katherine Swift. Hibbard's father sold sewing machines and his mother was a homemaker who had a fondness of nature and spiritualism. He had one older sister, Adeline. Hibbard was raised in the Boston suburbs of Roxbury and Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1906. Hibbard was captain of the baseball team at Dorchester High School. David Hibbard (born June 21, 1965, in Spokane, Washington, raised in Ohio) is an American stage performer, primarily known for Broadway musicals and television commercial voiceovers. Since 1999, Hibbard has been a teacher of vocal performance and audition technique at Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21), once affiliated with New York University Tisch School of the Arts and now a part of Molloy College in Rockville Centre, Long Island with studio space at Molloy College Manhattan Center. Hibbard made his Broadway debut in ''Cats'' in 1993 in the role of the Rum Tum Tugger at the Winter Garden Theatre. David Sutherland Hibbard (October 31, 1868 – December 30, 1966) was an American missionary and educator who established and served as first president of Silliman Institute, now Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Philippines. Biography Education Prior to his assignment in the Philippines by the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, Hibbard obtained his undergraduate degree from Emporia College in Emporia, Kansas. Thereafter, he received Theological Training at the Princeton Theological Seminary and went to obtain his Master of Arts Degree in Philosophy from Princeton University. Missionary work After graduating from Princeton in 1896, Hibbard served as a pastor at a local church in Lyndon, Kansas for three years. Harry Hibbard (June 1, 1816 – July 28, 1872) was an American politician and a United States Representative from New Hampshire. Early life Born in Concord, Vermont, Hibbard pursued classical studies. He graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire in 1835 where he studied law. After graduation, he was admitted to the bar in 1838 and commenced practice in Bath, Grafton County, New Hampshire. Ellery Albee Hibbard (July 31, 1826 – July 24, 1903) was an American politician, a lawyer, a judge, and a U.S. Representative from New Hampshire. Early life Born in St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Vermont, Hibbard pursued academic studies, then read law with Nathan B. Felton and Charles A. Morrison in Haverhill and Exeter, New Hampshire. He was admitted to the bar in 1849. Career Hibbard practiced in Plymouth, New Hampshire, until 1853, and then in Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire. Fred C. Fishback (born Moscu Fischback; January 18, 1894January 6, 1925) was a film director, actor, screenwriter, and producer of the silent era. Following the 1921 scandal surrounding Roscoe Arbuckle, in which he was involved, Fishback worked mostly under the pseudonym Fred Hibbard. Biography Fred Fishback was born Moscu Fischback (sometimes spelled Fischbach) on January 18, 1894, in Bucharest, Romania. He immigrated to the United States around 1900, and made his motion picture debut with Thomas H. Ince in 1912. As Freddy Fischbach, he became a cameraman at Mack Sennett's Keystone studio, where he worked with comedy star Roscoe Arbuckle. Edna Louise Hibbard (May 12, 1894 – December 26, 1942) was a stage and motion picture actress from Detroit, Michigan. She had a sharp tongue and was known for her roles in comedy. Carrosserie Hibbard et Darrin was a French coachbuilder which operated from 12 Rue de Berri, 75008, Paris, just off the Champs-Élysées. Owned by two Americans, Hibbard and Darrin it built bodies for the most luxurious chassis. Hibbard and Dietrich LeBaron Two American designers, Thomas L. Hibbard (1898-1982) and Raymond H. Dietrich had met while working for Brewster. Tiring of the corporate environment they started freelance work in their spare time and when William H Brewster discovered this he fired Dietrich. Hibbard left too. They decided to set up on their own and formed a new company and called it LeBaron after a family friend. LeBaron did not build car bodies, they sold designs. Richard Hibbard (born 13 December 1983) is a Wales international rugby player currently playing for the Dragons. Hibbard was born in Neath, Wales. He’s married with 3 children. A hooker, he started playing rugby at age grade levels at clubs in the town of Port Talbot, including Aberavon Quins RFC and Taibach RFC.
