Hey, Killer
Hey, Killer is the eighth studio album by American alternative rock duo Local H, released on April 14, 2015, through G&P Records, the official merchandiser for the band. Unlike previous recordings, ''Hey, Killer'' is not a conceptual release. The album was released on digital, CD, and vinyl formats. The record marks the first full-length recording to feature Ryan Harding on drums. Recording for the album was mostly funded by a Pledgemusic campaign started by the band. People who helped donate to the campaign were rewarded with items such as limited edition T-shirts and signed copies of the record. David Scott Lucas (born May 10, 1970) is an American musician, who is best known for being the guitarist, bassist, and lead vocalist for Local H, as well as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Scott Lucas and the Married Men. Lucas co-founded Local H in Zion, Illinois Illinois ( ) is a U.S. state, state in the Midwestern United States, Midwestern United States. MusiCares
MusiCares Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1989 and incorporated in 1993 by the The Recording Academy, National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Meant for musicians to have a place to turn in times of financial, personal, or medical crisis, its primary purpose is to focus the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues which directly impact the health and welfare of the music community. The foundation's programs include emergency financial assistance, addiction recovery, outreach and leadership activities, and senior housing. MusiCares also offers hearing clinics backstage at several major festivals around the U.S. to help musicians protect their ears. PledgeMusic was an online direct-to-fan music platform, launched in August 2009. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Local H
Local H is an American rock band co-founded in 1990 in Zion, Illinois by guitarist and vocalist Scott Lucas, who has remained the band's sole consistent member. Following the departures of the early line-up's bassist and lead guitarist, Lucas and co-founding drummer Joe Daniels continued as an unorthodox two-piece setup. Local H signed a record contract with Island Records in 1994, where they would go on to release three albums. The band's debut album, '' Ham Fisted'' (1995), was not a success and the band was nearly dropped, but the band remained on the label long enough to release their second album '' As Good as Dead'' (1996).
