''Hexuma'', alternatively titled ''Hexuma: Das Auge des Kal'' (English: ''Hexuma: The Eye of Kal'') is a German text adventure game published in 1992 by Software 2000 and developed by Weltenschmiede, and released for Amiga and DOS. ''Hexuma'' is the last entry in a text adventure trilogy; it is preceded by ''Das Stundenglas'' (1990) and '' Die Kathedrale'' (1991). Plot An estate agency has recently acquired Hawthorne Mansion: a house on an English moor that is rumoured to be haunted, and previous residents supposedly went insane after living there. The player takes the role of an employee of the agency, and arrives at the house to inspect and clean it. The house was built on the site where a 15th century castle once stood, and in the 1920s a scientist named Owen Jugger lived in and studied the house and its haunted past, and then abruptly died. ''Die Kathedrale'' ( English: ''The Cathedral'') is a 1991 German text adventure game developed by Weltenschmiede and published by Software 2000 for the Amiga and DOS. ''Die Kathedrale'' is part of a text adventure trilogy; it is preceded by ''Das Stundenglas'' (1990) and succeeded by ''Hexuma'' (1992). The trilogy lacks an overarching plot, and in each entry the setting, role of the protagonist, and goal differ between each game. Games in the trilogy do not require knowledge of the other entries and may be played as standalone games. ''Die Kathedrale'' was inspired by St. Paul's Church in Munich, Germany. In 1993, ''Die Kathedrale'' was adapted into a novel titled ''Die Kathedrale: Das Geheimnis einer Rache'' (English: ''The Cathedral: The Secret of Revenge''), and was written by ''Die Kathedrale's'' writer Harald Evers. Chris Huelsbeck
Christopher Hülsbeck (born 2 March 1968), known internationally as Chris Huelsbeck, is a German video game music composer. He gained popularity for his work on game soundtracks for '' The Great Giana Sisters'' and the '' Turrican'' series. Career Huelsbeck's music career started at age 17, when he entered a music competition in the German ''64'er'' magazine, taking first prize with his composition "Shades". He took a job in music production with the company Rainbow Arts. In 1986, Huelsbeck released the ''SoundMonitor'' program for Commodore 64 computer. The program was released as a type-in listing in the German computer magazine ''64'er''. This program, featuring the idea of notation data rolling from down to up, is assumed to have a significant influence on Karsten Obarski's Ultimate Soundtracker (1987) which was a starting point for the still continuing tradition of tracker music programs. Software 2000
Software 2000 was a video game developer and publisher based in Germany. The company was formed in 1987 in Eutin, Schleswig-Holstein, by brothers Andreas and Marc Wardenga. They produced and published games for various formats, originally the Atari ST and Amiga platforms, and later for the Personal computer (PC), Game Boy Color and a few titles for the PlayStation. Perhaps their most successful venture was the ''Bundesliga Manager'' series, based on the German soccer Premier League.
