Shimron Odilon Hetmyer (born 26 December 1996) is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for the West Indies cricket team. He was part of the West Indies' squad for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In December 2015 he was named as the captain of the West Indies squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) named Hetmyer as one of the five breakout stars in men's cricket in 2018. Domestic and T20 franchise career He made his Twenty20 (T20) debut in the 2016 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, and was retained for the 2017 edition. In August 2018, he became the youngest batsman to score a century in the CPL, when he made 100 runs for Guyana Amazon Warriors against the Jamaica Tallawahs. Guyana Amazon Warriors
The Guyana Amazon Warriors is a franchise cricket team of the Caribbean Premier League based in Providence, Georgetown, Guyana. The team is the representative cricket team of Guyana in the Caribbean Premier League. It was one of the six teams created in 2013 for the inaugural season of the tournament. The team plays its home games at Providence Stadium, located in Guyana and like the league's other franchises, draw the majority of its players from West Indian domestic teams. It has appeared in five of the seven CPL finals, but has lost in the finals all five times. The 2019 season of the Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 12, was the twelfth season of the IPL, a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. At one point other countries were considered to host the tournament, due to the Indian general elections but eventually the tournament was played entirely in India with the season commencing on 23 March. Royal Challengers Bangalore (often abbreviated as RCB) are a franchise cricket team based in Bangalore, Karnataka, that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 2020 Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 13 and branded as Dream11 Indian Premier League 2020, was the thirteenth season of the IPL, a professional Twenty20 cricket (T20) league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2008. The 2016 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) or for sponsorship reasons, Hero CPL 2016 was the fourth season of the Caribbean Premier League, the domestic Twenty20 cricket league in the West Indies. 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February 2016. It was the eleventh edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the second to be held in Bangladesh, after the 2004 event. The World Cup was contested by the national under-19 teams of sixteen International Cricket Council (ICC) members, and all matches played were held under-19 One Day International (ODI) status. Ten teams qualified automatically for the tournament through their status as ICC full members, while five others qualified by winning regional qualifying events. The 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was a one-day cricket competition for sixteen international U-19 cricketing teams which was played in the United Arab Emirates. This was the tenth edition of the tournament. Sixteen nations competed: the ten Test-playing teams, the United Arab Emirates as hosts, and five additional associate and affiliate qualifiers (Afghanistan, Canada, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, and Scotland). India entered the tournament as defending champions, having won the title in 2012 in Australia under the captaincy of Unmukt Chand.
