Hesham Ismail
Hesham Ismail (born June 11, 1969) is a former American football offensive lineman who played one season with the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the eighth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Florida and attended Auburndale High School in Auburndale, Florida. In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line. A number of NFL rules specifically address restrictions and requirements for the offensive line, whose job is to help protect the quarterback from getting sacked for a loss, or worse, fumbling. The 1992 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 26–27, 1992, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, New York. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season.
