Hervé Déry
Hervé Déry was the Interim Librarian and Archivist of Canada from May 24, 2013 until June 22, 2014. Education and career Déry is a graduate of the Université de Montréal, University of Montreal, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree, Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Economics. He has held various senior Government of Canada, federal government positions since 1982. He served as the Assistant Deputy Minister and Corporate Secretary, Policy and Collaboration Sector at Library and Archives Canada (LAC) from March 2012. Library and Archives Canada (LAC; french: Bibliothèque et Archives Canada) is the Government of Canada, federal institution, tasked with acquiring, preserving, and providing accessibility to the documentary heritage of Canada. Guy Berthiaume (born 1950) is Librarian and Archivist of Canada Emeritus. A Canadian historian specialized in the study of Classical Antiquity, he served as Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec from June 22, 2009 to June 21, 2014, and, from June 23, 2014 to August 29, 2019, he served as Librarian and Archivist of Canada. James Moore (born June 10, 1976) is a Canadian politician who formerly served as the Minister of Industry in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
