"Heroes of Thailand" is a song about the Tham Luang cave rescue in Chiang Rai, Thailand in 2018. The song was written about the divers and rescue workers who came from across the world to rescue the football team and their coach, who were stuck in the cave for two weeks. The song was written by British music producer Will Robinson and Daniel Ryan. Tham Luang Cave Rescue
In June and July 2018, a junior association football team and their assistant coach were rescued from the Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand. Twelve members of the team, aged 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old assistant coach entered the cave on 23 June after a football practice session. Shortly thereafter, heavy rainfall partially flooded the cave system, blocking their way out, and trapping them deep within. Efforts to locate the group were hampered by rising water levels and strong currents; and no contact was made for more than a week. The cave rescue effort expanded into a massive operation amid intense worldwide public interest and involving international rescue teams. Chiang Rai ( th, เชียงราย, ; nod, , เจียงฮาย, ) is the northernmost major city in Thailand, with a population of about 200,000 people. It is located in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province. Chiang Rai was established as a capital city in the reign of King Mangrai, in 1262 CE. Will Robinson (music Producer)
Will Robinson (born 1967) is a British executive music producer, agent, promoter and director. Is best known for his songs from his projects "The World Red Army", " Glory Glory Man United", "The Isan project" and "Thailand Amazing Thailand". Life and career Robinson was born in Knutsford, Cheshire, England, and he went to school in Macclesfield at Beech Hall, and later in Shropshire at Ellesmere College. Naval Special Warfare Command (Thailand)
The Naval Special Warfare Command ( th, หน่วยบัญชาการสงครามพิเศษทางเรือ), commonly known as the Royal Thai Navy SEALs (an acronym for SEa–Air–Land), is the special operations force of the Royal Thai Navy. The unit was set up in the name of Underwater Demolition Assault Unit in 1956 with the assistance of the U.S. Government. A small element within the Navy SEALs has been trained to conduct maritime counter-terrorism missions.
