''Heroes'' is an album, by Denise Ho, released on October 8, 2009, the day before her concert “SUPERGOO’ at the Hong Kong Coliseum started. It's almost a year after her last album Ten Days in the Madhouse, her 2009 new album titled Heroes, backed by her songwriting partners Wyman Wong, Hanjin Tan, and her older brother, Harris Ho, Denise offers 10 new songs intended to empower listeners to find the superheroes within themselves and share the positive energy of each other. Main cuts on the album include the chart-topping first plug The Old Testament ("舊約"), and the concert’s theme song The Diamond Sutra ("金剛經"). The bonus music video DVD for this couple of songs are also included. Denise Ho
Denise Ho Wan-see (born 10 May 1977) is a Hong Kong-based Cantopop singer and actress. She is also a pro-democracy and Hong Kong human rights activist. In 2012, Ho came out as lesbian, the first mainstream Cantonese singer to do so. In 2014, Ho was blacklisted by the Chinese government and by the luxury brand Lancome for her participation in the Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong. Ho is a Canadian citizen. On 28 December 2021, Ho was arrested by the Hong Kong police under the joint charges of both production and distribution of seditious materials. Early life and education Ho was born in Hong Kong. ''Ten Days in the Madhouse'' is an album, by Denise Ho, released on December 12, 2008. It focuses on a kinder perspective of society's outcasts, which includes recovering mental patients. Every song title in this album have a running theme of 4-character, taken from famous names of real celebrities and fictitious characters. The album was released in conjunction with Ho's documentary DVD titled "The Decameron" (). Development and Inspiration During the promotion of her third greatest hits album, " Goomusic Collection 2004-2008", Ho mentioned that she wanted to embrace social messages in her future work rather than telling her own stories.
