Hero (2007 Film)
''Hero'' is a 2007 Japanese feature film based on the 2001 Japanese TV series of the same name. The original series spawned a 2-hour TV special in 2006 which followed the main character, Kuryu, five years later. That special sets up the lead-in for the 2007 feature film. The all-star cast of this film includes the original cast from the TV series; cameos by Ayase Haruka and Nakai Kiichi (from the 2006 special), as well as guests Koshiro Matsumoto, Tamori, and special guest, Korean star Lee Byung-hun. This film mainly portrays the events that occurs in the courtroom, which was rarely done in the TV series. The region-2 DVD (Korean subtitles version also available) was released on March 8, 2008 by Pony Canyon. A sequel feature film, also titled ''Hero'', was released in theatres in July 2015. The Eternal Zero
is a 2013 Japanese war drama film directed by Takashi Yamazaki and based on a novel by Naoki Hyakuta, published in English by Vertical Inc. The film starts with a frame story set in 2004. Kiichi Nakai
is a Japanese actor. His name was given by Yasujirō Ozu. His father, Keiji Sada, also a movie actor, died when Nakai was only two years old. Nakai started his acting career while he was still in university and was awarded the Rookie of the Year at the Japan Academy Awards in 1981. He won the Japan Academy Best Supporting Actor award in 1994 (for ''47 Ronin'') and Best Actor award in 2003 (for '' Mibu gishi den'' (''When the Last Sword is Drawn'')). He also won the award for best supporting actor at the 19th Hochi Film Award for ''47 Ronin''.
