Chad Bruce Hermansen (born September 10, 1977) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder. Career Hermansen played amateur ball as a shortstop at Green Valley High School (Nevada), Green Valley High School of Henderson, Nevada, and the Pittsburgh Pirates selected him in the first round of the June draft, with the tenth overall pick. After signing with the Pirates, Hermansen immediately emerged as a top prospect. He was a South Atlantic League All-star, All-Star in , and after moving to the outfield the next year, a Pacific Coast League All Star and the Pirates' Minor League Player of the Year in . He earned a promotion to the major leagues at the end of that season, and made his debut against the San Diego Padres on September 7, 1999. Chris Hermansen (born 23 January 1975) is a retired football player, who most notably won the 1999 Danish Cup with Akademisk Boldklub (AB). He played as a forward and scored 73 goals in 174 games in the Danish Superliga from 1996 to 2004. Hermansen played five games for Danish youth selections, including three games for the Denmark national under-21 football team. During his club career, Hermansen played for Esbjerg fB, 1. Benjamin Hermansen (29 May 1985 – 26 January 2001) was a Norwegian boy whose father was born in Ghana; his mother was Norwegian. He was stabbed to death at Holmlia in Oslo, Norway, just before midnight on 26 January 2001 by people from the neo-Nazi group Boot Boys. Ole Hermansen (1893–1942) was a Norwegian trade unionist. He began as a forest and construction worker, but was hired by Rena Kartonfabrikk (Rena Carton Factory) in 1920. He was a member of the Labour Party from 1915, but joined the Communist Party in 1923, and was elected to Åmot municipal council in the same year. In 1926 he became mayor of Amot. He was a delegate at the Sixth Comintern Congress in 1928, and in 1929 he was elected to the Communist Party central board. In the 1933 election he was the Communist Party first candidate in Hedmark.
