Herman Schlom
Herman Schlom (1904–1983) was a film producer who first received film credit as an assistant director for ''Dracula (1931 English-language film), Dracula'' in 1931. He worked primarily for Republic Pictures then RKO Pictures. Some of Schlom's notable films, as a producer, include the crime thrillers ''The Devil Thumbs a Ride'' (1947), ''Born to Kill (1947 film), Born to Kill'' (1947), ''Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome'' (1947) and ''Follow Me Quietly'' (1949). He was the producer of a number of Tim Holt westerns. According to Richard Martin "“Herman was one of RKO's best B producers. He could get a lot of quality into a picture for a few dollars. Dracula (1931 English-language Film)
''Dracula'' is a 1931 American pre-Code supernatural horror film directed and co-produced by Tod Browning from a screenplay written by Garrett Fort and starring Bela Lugosi in the titular role. It is based on the 1924 stage play ''Dracula'' by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, which in turn is adapted from the 1897 novel ''Dracula'' by Bram Stoker. Lugosi portrays Count Dracula, a vampire who emigrates from Transylvania to England and preys upon the blood of living victims, including a young man's fiancée. Produced and distributed by Universal Pictures, ''Dracula'' is the first sound film adaptation of the Stoker novel. Frank Ferguson
Frank S. Ferguson (December 25, 1906 – September 12, 1978) was an American character actor with hundreds of appearances in both film and television. Background Ferguson was the younger of two children of W. Thomas Ferguson, a native Scottish merchant, and his American wife Annie Boynton. He grew up in his native Ferndale. He graduated from Ferndale Union High School in 1927. He earned a bachelor's degree in speech and drama at the University of California and a master's degree from Cornell University. He also taught at UCLA and Cornell. As a young man, he became connected with Gilmor Brown, the founder and director of the Pasadena Community Playhouse, and became one of its first directors. He was a popular Western star during the 1940s and early 1950s, appearing in forty-six B westerns released by RKO Pictures. ''Follow Me Quietly'' is a 1949 semidocumentary film noir / police procedural film directed by Richard Fleischer. The drama features William Lundigan, Dorothy Patrick, Jeff Corey, and others. Plot A mysterious killer, known only as "The Judge", kills anyone he considers worthless and immoral. Lieutenant Harry Grant (William Lundigan) is assigned to track him down. With just a handful of clues, Grant constructs a faceless dummy to help his men conduct their investigation. Meanwhile a persistent young female reporter (Dorothy Patrick) for a tabloid magazine is dogging Grant for a story on the killings, much to his annoyance.
