Herman Fontenot
Herman Joseph Fontenot Jr. (born September 12, 1963) is an American former professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the LSU Tigers. Undrafted in the 1985 NFL Draft, he played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers. The 1985 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. The draft was held April 30 and May 1, 1985, at the Omni Park Central Hotel in New York City, New York. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season. The first six selections of the draft made at least one Pro Bowl, and three of the first 16 picks — Bruce Smith, Chris Doleman, and Jerry Rice — have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
