Mableton, Georgia
Mableton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. According to the 2020 census, Mableton has a population of 40,834. Upon Brookhaven's cityhood in December 2012, Mableton became the largest unincorporated CDP in Metro Atlanta. On November 8, 2022, following the 2022 midterm elections, a referendum on cityhood was passed. It is set to become the largest city in Cobb County in terms of population. The Heritage Park Plaza, also known as Heritage Plaza or Heritage Park Overlook or Upper Heritage Park, in Fort Worth, Texas is a Modernist style park that was designed by Lawrence Halprin. Heritage Park (Morristown, Tennessee)
Morristown College was an African American higher education institution located in Morristown, the seat of Hamblen County, Tennessee. It was founded in 1881 by the national Freedman's Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The school was renamed Knoxville College-Morristown Campus in 1989 and closed in 1994. Prior to the civil rights movement, the college held the distinction of being one of only two institutions in East Tennessee for African Americans, the other being Knoxville College, founded in 1875. The campus was perched on a hill in the middle of Morristown and surrounded by five distinct neighborhoods. Seven of the college's nine buildings were on the National Register of Historic Places. After operations ceased, most of the college buildings fell into disrepair, succumbing to vandalism and neglect. The campus was demolished to make way for a city park which opened in 2019. The property sits on about 39 acres and during it time of operation was the only enclosed shopping mall in Midwest City, although there are many outdoor shopping centers. Heritage Park was a stadium in Colonie, New York, USA. It was primarily used for baseball but was also used for high school and college football games. It had a capacity of 5,500. History Heritage Park opened in 1982 and primarily served as a minor league baseball ballpark. It was home to the Albany-Colonie A's, the Albany-Colonie Yankees, and the Albany-Colonie Diamond Dogs. Since the Diamond Dogs left in 2002, the facility had been without any tenants. Although there had been no regular maintenance, the ballpark stood just west of the Albany International Airport until demolition was completed in 2009. The stadium was supposed to be razed to make way for a new nursing home, but the plans fell through when it was discovered that the property had become too valuable.
