Heritage Film Project is a film-production studio and film distribution company established in Charlottesville, Virginia, Charlottesville since 2010. It was founded by Eduardo Montes-Bradley and Soledad Liendo in 2008. Heritage Film Project produces documentaries on the arts, science and the humanities with a variety of academic and institutional partners. Julian Bond
Horace Julian Bond (January 14, 1940 – August 15, 2015) was an American social activist, leader of the civil rights movement, politician, professor, and writer. While he was a student at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, during the early 1960s, he helped establish the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). In 1971, he co-founded the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, and served as its first president for nearly a decade. Bond was elected to serve four terms in the Georgia House of Representatives and later he was elected to serve six terms in the Georgia State Senate, serving a total of twenty years in both legislative chambers. The film traces the origins of German cinematographer Peter Paul Weinschenk before he arrived in Buenos Aires in October of 1937 after four years as a cameraman in Madrid and Barcelona. Once in Argentina, Weinschenk enjoyed great success under the pseudo-name Pablo Tabernero. Tabernero is a literal translation from German of Weinschenk. Brown College at Monroe Hill is one of three residential colleges at the University of Virginia. Originally named Monroe Hill College, Brown opened in 1986 as the first modern residential college at the University of Virginia.
