Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Flameshovel Records is a record label from Chicago, Illinois formed in the summer of 2000. Founded by Jesse Woghin and long-time friend Nash Grey, the duo were later joined by James Kenler. Grey left for Philadelphia in 2003 to start grad school but the remaining partners forged ahead. The label has since put out 43 releases, including releases by Maritime, Chin Up Chin Up, Lying in States, and Bound Stems. ''We, the Vehicles'' is the second album by Maritime. It is the band's final album with the bass guitarist Eric Axelson. Background ''We, the Vehicles'' was recorded at Bionic Studios and Polish Moon with Kristian Riley and the band acting as producers and engineers. Riley mixed the recordings, before they were mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side. Release On February 10, 2006, bassist Eric Axelson left the band; he was replaced by Decibully member Justin Flug. They went on a two-week tour in March 2004, prior to the release of ''We, the Vehicles'' on April 4, 2006. It was subsequently made available for streaming through AOL Music two weeks later. Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band is composed of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. Snailhouse
Michael Feuerstack is a Canadians, Canadian indie rock musician, who has been associated with the bands Wooden Stars and Snailhouse. Snailhouse was essentially a solo project with multiple contributing artists, including Julie Doiron of Eric's Trip, with production work by Jeremy Gara of The Arcade Fire. Records from Snailhouse have been released on White Whale Records, Forward Music in Canada, Lunamoth, Rhythm of Sickness, Grand Theft Autumn, Unfamiliar Records and Scratch Recordings labels. In 2012, Feuerstack announced that he was retiring the Snailhouse name, and would be releasing future music under his own name.
