Club Sport Herediano (), commonly known as Herediano and nicknamed El Team, is a Costa Rican multisport club based in Heredia, Heredia province. Although they compete in a number of different sports, Herediano is mostly known for its association football team. It plays in the Primera División de Costa Rica, the top tier of the Costa Rican football league system. Herediano are one of two clubs to have never been relegated. Herediano has its origins in 1918. Paulo Wanchope
Paulo César Wanchope Watson (; born 31 July 1976), more commonly known as Paulo Wanchope, is a Costa Rican football coach and former professional footballer As a player he was a striker who notably played in the Premier League for Derby County, West Ham United and Manchester City. He also had spells in La Liga and Major League Soccer for Málaga and Chicago Fire as well as Herediano, Al-Gharafa, Rosario Central and FC Tokyo. Germán ChavarrÃa
Germán José ChavarrÃa Jiménez (born 19 March 1959 in San José) is a retired Costa Rican football player who currently is an assistant coach for Herediano. Club career ChavarrÃa made his professional debut for Herediano on 12 November 1978 against Saprissa and scored his first goal on 7 June 1981 against Puntarenas. He would play his entire career for Herediano from 1978 to 1995, making him the club record-holder with most games when he played 492 consecutive Costa Rican Primera División matches without being expelled. He retired after a testimonial match on 6 December 1995. José Miguel Cubero LorÃa (born 14 February 1987) is a Costa Rican footballer who plays for Liga Deportiva Alajuelense and for the Costa Rica national football team as a holding midfielder. David Andrew Myrie Medrano (born June 1, 1988 in Puerto Viejo) is a Costa Rican professional footballer. Club career Myrie started his professional career with Cádiz of the Spanish Segunda División. Eladio Rosabal Cordero
Eladio Rosabal Cordero (15 September 1894 — 26 April 1965) was a Costa Rican footballer who was one of the top midfielders in the history of the Primera División de Costa Rica. He was one of the founders of the Costa Rican football club, Herediano. Club career Rosabal began his football career with Club La Libertad, but left the club in 1921 to form Club Sport Herediano along with JoaquÃn Manuel "Toquita" Gutiérrez, Francisco "Paco" Fuentes and the brothers Gilberto "Beto" and Claudio "Cayito" Arguedas.
