Asking Alexandria are a British rock band from York, North Yorkshire, consisting of guitarists Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell, drummer James Cassells, lead vocalist Danny Worsnop, and bassist Sam Bettley. Initially formed in 2006 by Ben Bruce, the band officially established as a six-piece in 2008 with the founding line-up consisting of Bruce, Worsnop, Cassells, Liddell, Joe Lancaster and Ryan Binns. After the departure of Lancaster and Binns, as well as the recruitment of bassist Sam Bettley in 2009, the band released their debut album '' Stand Up and Scream'' (2009). The band released two studio albums ''Reckless & Relentless'' (2011) and ''From Death to Destiny'' (2013), before the departure of Worsnop in January 2015. ''The Black'' is the fourth studio album by British rock band Asking Alexandria. It was released on 25 March 2016 through Sumerian Records and was produced by Joey Sturgis. It is their only album to feature second lead vocalist Denis Stoff, who replaced original lead vocalist Danny Worsnop. Worsnop returned to the band in October 2016. The album was preceded by the singles " I Won't Give In" released on 26 May 2015, "Undivided" released on 25 September 2015, and the album's eponymous track "The Black" released on 2 February 2016. The first song on the album, "Let It Sleep", was released on 3 March 2016, with a music video for the track being released the following day. Upon its release, the album was well received by music critics and fans of the band. Benjamin Paul Bruce (born 31 October 1988) is an English musician. He is the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of rock band Asking Alexandria and has also performed as a solo artist. Bruce founded the band while he was living in Dubai but the band split and he moved back to the United Kingdom, where he then started the band again under the same name with Danny Worsnop. Biography Early life Bruce was born in Wandsworth, South London on 31 October 1988. At the age of six he and his family moved to Dubai. He would later move back to England in 2006 at age 17 in order to gain recognition in the music industry, which he would gain after forming Asking Alexandria. Denis Alexandrovich Shaforostov ( uk, Денис Олександрович Шафоростов; born 4 May 1992), also known by his stage name Denis Stoff, is a Ukrainian singer, best known for his work as a guitarist and singer of the Ukrainian metalcore group Make Me Famous. He also replaced Danny Worsnop as lead singer of the British rock band Asking Alexandria, during Worsnop's 18-month hiatus from the band. Shaforostov's music career began with his YouTube channel "above92", where he posted vocal and guitar covers of his favorite songs. Joey Sturgis (born January 3, 1985) is an American record producer and owner of The Foundation Recording Studio in Connersville, Indiana. Sturgis started recording in 2004 including producing the Asking Alexandria single "The Final Episode" which has gone on to earn an RIAA certified Gold Record. He also received RIAA-certified Gold Records for Asking Alexandria's "Not the American Average", "Moving On" and Of Mice & Men's "Second and Sebring". He has recorded over 100 albums in his career, and was known for doing a majority of the workload by himself in his early years, including engineering, mixing, mastering, and production. Sturgis is also the founder and president of Joey Sturgis Tones, which are his own line of audio recording plugins. "Into the Fire" is a song by British rock band Asking Alexandria. It is the band's first single off of their self-titled fifth studio album, and to feature lead vocalist Danny Worsnop since his departure in 2015. He returned in October 2016, after the departure of former vocalist Denis Stoff. The single was released on 21 September 2017 by the label, Sumerian Records. The song was used in a trailer for the racing game "MX vs. ATV All Out", which was released on 27 March 2018.
