Herbert Adolph Hambleton
Brigadier Herbert Hambleton CBE (25 April 1896 – 1 January 1985) was an English soldier who served in World War I and World War II. Hambleton was also a cricketer, golfer, and footballer. He was part of Great Britain's squad for the football tournament at the 1920 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches. Hambleton was awarded with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 1919 Birthday Honours. He was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1945. Barrackpore (also known as Barrackpur) is a city and a municipality of urban Kolkata of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
