''Her First Date'' (German: ''Ihr erstes Rendezvous'') is a 1955 Austrian-West German romantic comedy film directed by Axel von Ambesser and starring Nicole Heesters, Paul Dahlke and Adrian Hoven.Fritsche p.255 It was shot in Agfacolor at the Salzburg Studios and on location around the city and Lake Wolfgang. The film's sets were designed by the art director Julius von Borsody. It is a remake of the 1941 French film ''Premier rendez-vous'', with the setting shifted to post-war Salzburg. Axel Von Ambesser
Axel Eugen Alexander von Oesterreich (22 June 1910 – 6 September 1988), better known as Axel von Ambesser, was a German playwright, actor and film director. Ambesser's father was Alexander Constantin von Oesterreich. Ambesser was born in Hamburg and attended Wilhelm-Gymnasium. He appeared as a stage actor in the Hamburg Kammerspiele, and went on to play in the Stadttheater Augsburg, the Münchner Kammerspiele, from 1937 the Deutsche Theater Berlin, from 1942 the Staatstheater Berlin, and the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna. ''Premier rendez-vous'' (US title: ''Her First Affair'') is a 1941 French comedy film starring Danielle Darrieux. It was directed by Henri Decoin, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michel Duran. Karl Ehmann (13 August 1882 – 1 November 1967) was an Austrian stage and film actor whose career spanned both the silent and sound eras of the film industry. Career Born on 13 August 1882 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, he became interested in acting as a young man, studying in a private master class with the famous Austrian stage actor, Karl Arnau. He made his stage debut at the age of 20 in the municipal theater of Olomouc, Moravia (now part of the Czech Republic). Over the next five years he would appear in productions in Meran, South Tyrol, Linz, Upper Austria, and Graz, Austria. In 1908 he would begin a 30-year association with the Deutsche Volkstheater in Vienna.
