Henry Caleb Williams (1832 – August 19, 1871) was a politician in Queensland, Australia. He was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Early life Henry Caleb Williams was born in 1832. Politics Williams was the mayor of the then Town of Ipswich between 1868 and 1869. He was one of three members of the Queensland Legislative Assembly for the Electoral district of Ipswich from 26 September 1868 to 12 August 1870. Electoral District Of Ipswich
Ipswich is a Legislative Assembly of Queensland electoral district on the Brisbane River, west of Brisbane in the Australian state of Queensland. The electorate includes Ipswich and its suburbs, south and east of the Bremer River, west of Bundamba Creek and north of the Cunningham Highway. History The electoral district of Town of Ipswich was one of the original 16 established in 1859, when Queensland became a separate colony. It returned 3 members. In the redistribution of 1872, its name was shortened to just "Ipswich" and it became a single member constituency, due to the creation of the electoral district of Bundamba. In the redistribution of 1878, it absorbed the electoral district of Bremer and became a dual-member constituency. In 1912, it again reverted to a single member constituency, due to the re-introduction of the single-member electoral district of Bremer. The Parliament of Queensland is the legislature of Queensland, Australia. The Legislative Assembly of Queensland is the sole chamber of the unicameral Parliament of Queensland established under the Constitution of Queensland. Elections are held every four years and are done by full preferential voting. The Assembly has 93 members, who have used the letters MP after their names since 2000 (previously they were styled MLAs). Patrick O'Sullivan (14 March 1818 – 29 February 1904) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography O'Sullivan was born in Castlemaine, County Kerry, the son of William O'Sullivan, a soldier, and his wife Ellen (née Moriarty). O'Sullivan was also a soldier, and was stationed in London with his regiment when Queen Victoria succeeded to the throne in 1837. In January the next year, however, he was sentenced to fifteen years transportation for assault, thus missing the coronation by several months.
