Henry Paget, 3rd Marquess Of Anglesey
Henry William George Paget, 3rd Marquess of Anglesey (9 December 1821 – 30 January 1880), styled Lord Paget until 1854 and Earl of Uxbridge between 1854 and 1869, was a British peer and Liberal politician. Background Anglesey was the only son of Henry Paget, 2nd Marquess of Anglesey, by his first wife Eleanora, daughter of Colonel John Campbell. Political career Anglesey was returned to Parliament as one of two representatives for Staffordshire South in 1854, a seat he held until 1857. In 1869 he succeeded his father in the marquessate and entered the House of Lords. Apart from his political career he also served in the Grenadier Guards. Personal life Lord Anglesey married in 1845 Sophia Eversfield, born 24 June 1819, the daughter of James Eversfield of Denne Park, Sussex and his wife Mary, daughter of Robert Hawgood Crew. A grenadier ( , ; derived from the word ''hand grenade, grenade'') was originally a specialist soldier who threw Grenade, hand grenades in battle. The distinct combat function of the grenadier was established in the mid-17th century, when grenadiers were recruited from among the strongest and largest soldiers. Marquess of Anglesey ( cy, Ardalydd Môn) is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1815 for Henry Paget, 2nd Earl of Uxbridge, a hero of the Battle of Waterloo, second in command to the Duke of Wellington. The Marquess holds the subsidiary titles of Earl of Uxbridge, in the County of Middlesex, in the Peerage of Great Britain (1784), Baron Paget, de Beaudesert, in the Peerage of England (1553), and is also an Irish Baronet, of Plas Newydd in the County of Anglesey and of Mount Bagenall in the County of Louth. Henry John Wentworth Hodgetts-Foley of Prestwood House, then in Kingswinford parish (9 December 1828 – 23 April 1894) was a British MP. He was the son of John Hodgetts Hodgetts-Foley''Burke's Peerage 2003'', page 1448 and a descendant of General Thomas Gage and Margaret Kemble, and it is through Kemble that he is a descendant of the Schuyler family, the Van Cortlandt family, and the Delancey family from colonial British North America. William Orme Foster
William Orme Foster (29 October 1814 – 29 September 1899) was an English ironmaster, coalmaster and owner of the large industrial firm John Bradley & Co, which he inherited from his uncle, James Foster in 1853. He served as a Liberal MP for South Staffordshire from 1857 until 1868. Biography He was born in 1814, the son of William Foster of Wordsley House in Stourbridge and his wife Charlotte, daughter of William Orme of Dulwich, Surrey. His father had an iron business in Stourbridge, a partnership with his brother-in-law trading as Foster & Orme; but it was as heir to his uncle James Foster that William Orme Foster was to achieve wealth and position as an ironmaster in the Midlands region of England. Foster attended Shrewsbury School between 1826 and 1829. He was employed as an agent by his uncle before 1850. In 1852, he was appointed Deputy Lieutenant for Worcestershire.
