Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Baronet
Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Baronet (1773– 31 July 1829) was a British diplomat, consul general to Portugal and chargé d'affaires to Brazil. He was created a baronet on 22 February 1828. Henry was a natural son of the Honourable Henry Fane, Clerk to H.M. Treasury, a younger son of Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland. He was brought up with the rest of Fane's children as a supposed distant relative, but when Chamberlain expressed interest in one of Fane's daughters (his half sister), he was informed of his true parentage and posted to Portugal in 1829 to become consul general, sailing on board HMS ''Briton''. On 1 January 1795 he married firstly Elizabeth Harrod, of Exeter, and in 1813 they were divorced by an Act of Parliament. Sir Henry Chamberlain, 2nd Baronet
Captain Sir Henry Chamberlain, 2nd Baronet (2 October 1796 – 8 September 1843) was a British Army officer of the Royal Artillery and an artist whose series of drawings of Brazil were well known in his time. He was the second of the Chamberlain baronets, as the eldest son and heir of Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Baronet, a British diplomat in Brazil, and his first wife Elizabeth Harrod. While a lieutenant of the ''Royal Artillery'', he visited his father in Brazil in 1819–20. While there, he painted a series of views and costumes of the city and neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The University of Oxford Centre for Brazilian Studies has an album of drawings by him, done during the years 1819 and 1820, with descriptive explanations. His watercolours formed the basis of a famous album of 36 lithographs, each accompanied by a detailed explanation of the particular subject, entitled ''Views and Costumes of the City and Neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro''. Henry Chamberlain (Michigan Politician)
Henry Chamberlain (March 17, 1824February 9, 1907) was a Michigan politician. Early life Henry Chamberlain was born on March 17, 1824, in Pembroke, New Hampshire, to parents Moses and Mary Chamberlain. Chamberlain attended school until about 1836. In 1836, the Chamberlain family moved to Three Oaks, Michigan. Career In 1836, once in Three Oaks, Chamberlain started farming with his family. On November 6, 1848, Chamberlain was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives where he represented the Berrien County district from January 1, 1849, to April 2, 1849. In 1850, Chamberlain stated his own farm. In the 1874 Michigan gubernatorial election, Chamberlain was the Democratic nominee. In this election, Chamberlain was defeated by incumbent Republican governor John J. Bagley. In 1876 and 1896, Chamberlain was a delegate to Democratic National Convention from Michigan. Henry Chamberlin
Henry Chamberlin (31 July 1825 – 12 April 1888), in many sources referred to as Chamberlain, was a member of the New Zealand Legislative Council. He came to New Zealand in his late 20s with a younger brother and a lot of capital, which he invested in land south and west of Auckland. After a failed attempt to win election to the House of Representatives in 1867, he was called to the Legislative Council in early 1869. He remained a member until his accidental drowning in 1888. Early life and family Chamberlin was born at Narborough Hall in Narborough, Norfolk on 31 July 1825 and baptised on 7 August, one of ten children of Hannah Chamberlin (, 1799–1863) and Henry Chamberlin (1773–1848).
