Henry Arthur Stanistreet
Henry Arthur Stanistreet (19 March 1901 – 4 September 1981), was the 14th Bishop of Killaloe and Clonfert. Stanistreet was educated at Trent College and Trinity College, Dublin and ordained in 1924. He was a curate at Clonmel and then curate in charge of Corbally before becoming the Rector of Templeharry with Borrisnafarney. Edwin Owen
Edwin Owen (3 November 1910 – 2 April 2005) was an Anglican bishop in the Church of Ireland. Owen was educated at The Royal School, Armagh and Trinity College, Dublin. He was ordained in 1935 and was a curate at both Glenageary and Christ Church, Leeson Park, Dublin. He was a minor canon of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin and then chancellor’s vicar and finally succentor. From 1942 to 1957 he was the incumbent at Birr and then Dean of Killaloe Cathedral until 1972. He was elected as the Bishop of Killaloe and Clonfert on 1 December 1971 and was consecrated on 25 January 1972. Richard Gordon Perdue (13 February 1910 – 8 August 1998) was an Anglican bishop. Perdue was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, and ordained in 1934. Killaloe Cathedral
The Cathedral Church of St Flannan, Killaloe ( ) is a cathedral of the Church of Ireland in Killaloe, County Clare in Ireland. Previously the cathedral of the Diocese of Killaloe, it is now one of three cathedrals in the United Dioceses of Limerick and Killaloe. The Dean of the Cathedral is the Very Reverend Roderick Lindsay Smyth who is also Dean of Clonfert, Dean of Kilfenora and both Dean and Provost of Kilmacduagh Architecture Killaloe Cathedral dates from the transition between the Romanesque and Gothic periods. The front is decorated with arabesque ornaments. On the north side of the cathedral is a small oratory or chapel of a date far prior to the cathedral; and probably the original sanctuary of the holy man who founded the abbey.
