Lorne Henning (born February 22, 1952) is a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and former player. He most recently served as Director of Player Personnel and Assistant General Manager for the NHL's Vancouver Canucksbr> Born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Henning spent nine years as a forward with the New York Islanders, with whom he earned an assist on the May 24, 1980 goal by Bobby Nystrom that earned the Islanders their first of four consecutive Stanley Cups. In the summer of 1980 he became an assistant coach with New York Islanders. He also played nine regular season games, and one playoff game, becoming the last player-coach for a Stanley Cup-winning team. He was credited with an assist on Bobby Nystrom’s overtime goal that won the Islanders their first Stanley Cup. Henning Fritz (born 21 September 1974) is a German retired handball goalkeeper, current entrepreneur, book author and TV expert. Henning Engelsen (5 February 1918 – 8 September 2005) was a Norwegian woodcarver and illustrator. Biography Henning Engelsen was born at Sandefjord in Vestfold og Telemark, Norway. He started his woodcarving career in 1947 in a small workshop at Toten in the eastern part of Norway, where he founded the wood carving companHENNING From the start his idea was to create a world of wood carved figures that radiate joy and humanity and inspire us to rise above the ordinary. His rich and manifold production counts hundreds of different motives, illustrating animal life, myths and Norwegian folklore. Henning Berg
Henning Stille Berg (; born 1 September 1969) is a Norwegian football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Cypriot First Division club Pafos FC. His career lasted from 1988 to 2004, most notably in the Premier League where he won titles with both Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United, becoming the first player to win the Premier League with two clubs. He also played in his native land for Vålerenga and Lillestrøm before finishing his career in the Scottish Premier League with Rangers. He was capped 100 times by Norway, scoring nine goals. Knut Uno Henning (11 September 1895, Stockholm – 16 May 1970) was a Swedish stage and film actor. Henning's parents were Karl Bernhard Henning and Eleanor (Ellen) Martin. His father owned a bakery factory. Henning studied at the Royal Swedish Dramatic Theatre School between 1915–1917. After graduating he performed at the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Stockholm between 1918–1925 and returned there again between 1935–1965. Between 1929 and 1935 he was engaged by another Stockholm theatre, the Blanche Theatre. He made his film debut in 1919 in Rune Carlsten's ''A Dangerous Courtship'' and came to be involved in some 40 Swedish films and TV productions over his career. Walter Bruno Henning (August 26, 1908 – January 8, 1967) was a German scholar of Middle Iranian languages and literature, especially of the corpus discovered by the Turpan expeditions of the early 20th century. __TOC__ Biography Walter Henning was born in the ancient fortress town of Ragnit, East Prussia (now Neman, Russia), but grew up in Köslin in Pomerania on the Baltic Sea. Henning initially attended the University of Göttingen to study mathematics, and although he would soon choose to study Iranian languages instead, he would maintain an interest in mathematics for the rest of his life.
