Finsterwalde
Finsterwalde (, dsb, Grabin) is a town in the Elbe-Elster district (German: Landkreis), in Lower Lusatia, Brandenburg, Germany. Overview It is situated on the Schackebach, a tributary of the Kleine Elster, 28 m. W.S.W of Cottbus by rail. Pop. (2005) 18,840. The town has a Gothic church (1581), a castle, schools, cloth and cigar factories, iron-foundries, flour and saw mills and factories for machine building. Nikias Arndt
Nikias Arndt (born 18 November 1991) is a German professional track and road cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Arndt rode for between 2010 and 2012, before joining the team for the 2013 season. He achieved his first professional victory at the 2013 Arctic Race of Norway, winning the third stage, en route to finishing third overall behind Thor Hushovd and Kenny van Hummel. Arndt also won the young riders classification at the event, as the best-placed rider under the age of 25. In June 2017, he was named in the startlist for the Tour de France. 2014 UEC European Track Championships
The 2014 UEC European Track Championships was the fifth edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Vélodrome Amédée Détraux in Baie-Mahault, Guadeloupe, France, between 16 and 19 October. The Event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions are awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which may be worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions. 2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The 2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships took place in Minsk, Belarus from 20 to 24 February 2013 in the Minsk-Arena. The Championships featured 19 events, the same as 2012. Great Britain, with five gold medals (four in Olympic events), and nine in total topped the medal table. Australia, Germany, France, the United States and Ireland all enjoyed a successful championships. Becky James of Great Britain, debuting at this level, won four medals, including two gold, in a single Championships, the first British cyclist to do so. 2012 UEC European Track Championships
The 2012 European Track Championships was the third edition of the elite European Track Championships in track cycling. It was held on October 19–21, 2012 and took place at the Cido Arena in Panevėžys, Lithuania. It was the first European Elite Track Championships that had opening ceremony.
