Marie Henein
Marie Henein (born 1966) is a Canadian criminal defence lawyer. She is a partner of Henein Hutchison LLP, a law firm in Toronto. Early life Henein was born in Cairo, Egypt, to Lebanese Maronite parents. Her father, Joseph Henein, worked at a pharmacy. After briefly moving to Vancouver, then less than a year later to Lebanon, the family finally settled in Toronto when Marie was four years old. She attended St. Joseph's Morrow Park Catholic Secondary School.. Education Henein attended Osgoode Hall Law School, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. Adam Henein
Adam Henein ( ar, آدم حنين; 31 March 1929 – 22 May 2020) was an Egyptian sculptor. Early life Samuel Henein was born into a family, originally from Asyut, of gold metalworkers in Cairo in 1929. He was trained as a sculptor at the Academy of Fine Art in Cairo, from which he received his degree in 1953. His family were Coptic Christians. Career Henein became known as a sculptor in the 1950s; he received the Luxor prize in 1954–56, and his work was shown in Cairo, Alexandria, and Munich by the end of that decade. When he moved to Paris in 1971, Henein began to explore painting. In both his paintings and his sculptures, he gained recognition for the use of ancient Egyptian themes and traditional materials. From 1989 to 1998 Henein headed the design team involved in the restoration of the Great Sphinx of Giza, drawing on his experience as a sculptor to determine how the monument was originally carved. Georges Henein
Georges Henein (1914–1973) was an Egyptian poet and author. He was a founding member of the Cairo-based, surrealist Art and Liberty Group which brought together artists, writers and various intellectuals of different backgrounds and national origins under the shared cause of anti-fascist activism. The group was active from 1938 up until the late 1940s. Early life and education Born in Cairo in 1914, Henien was the son of Sadek Henein Pacha, a coptic diplomat father and Mary Zanelli, an Italian-Egyptian mother. Henein spent his childhood between Cairo, Madrid, Rome and Paris where he would eventually study at the Lycée Pasteur de Neuily and the Sorbonne. Because of his education abroad, he was fluent in Arabic, Italian, Greek, English and French. While in France, Henein met André Breton and Henri Calet.
