Heneage Finch, 6th Earl Of Aylesford
Heneage Finch, 6th Earl of Aylesford DL (24 December 1824 – 10 January 1871), styled Lord Guernsey until 1859, was a British peer and politician. Background Born in Packington, Warwickshire, Aylesford was the son of Heneage Finch, 5th Earl of Aylesford and his wife Lady Augusta Sophia, fourth daughter of George Greville, 2nd Earl of Warwick. Cricket A keen amateur cricketer, Aylesford played first-class cricket mostly for the Marylebone Cricket Club, but also played first-class cricket for other teams. He made 21 first-class appearances, scoring 200 runs at an average of 7.14, with a high score of 28 not out. Political career Finch became a major of the Warwickshire Yeomanry Cavalry in 1848 and represented the county as Deputy Lieutenant from 1852. Evelyn Shirley (1788–1856)
Evelyn John Shirley (26 April 1788 – 31 December 1856), was a British politician. Background Shirley was the eldest son of Evelyn Shirley, son of the Hon. George Shirley, younger son of Robert Shirley, 1st Earl Ferrers. His mother was Phillis Byam Wollaston, daughter of Charlton Wollaston. He was educated at Rugby School later Matriculating to St John's College, Cambridge in 1807. He inherited Ettington Park, making some alterations to it in 1824. Political career After having served as High Sheriff of Warwickshire for 1813–14 and High Sheriff of Monaghan for 1824–25, Shirley was returned to Parliament for County Monaghan in 1826, a seat he held until 1831. He later represented Warwickshire South between 1836 and 1849. Family Shirley married Eliza, daughter of Arthur Stanhope, in 1810. Earl of Aylesford, in the County of Kent, is a title in the Peerage of Great Britain. It was created in 1714 for the lawyer and politician Heneage Finch, 1st Baron Guernsey. He had already been created Baron Guernsey in the Peerage of England in 1703. Finch was the younger son of Heneage Finch, 1st Earl of Nottingham and the great-grandson of Elizabeth Heneage, 1st Countess of Winchilsea. Lord Aylesford's eldest son, the second Earl, represented Maidstone and Surrey in Parliament. In 1712, he married Mary Fisher, daughter of Sir Clement Fisher, 3rd Baronet. Edward Bolton King
Edward Bolton King (15 July 1800 – 23 March 1878) was a British Whig politician from Umberslade in Nuthurst, Warwickshire. Family King was the son of Edward King, Vice-Chancellor of the County Palatine of Lancaster, and the grandson of Rev. James King, Dean of Raphoe. He was the nephew of Captain James King, who accompanied James Cook on his last voyage round the world, the Rt. Rev. Walker King, Bishop of Rochester and of John King, Under-Secretary of State at the Home Office, and Pitt's spy-master during the French Revolution. In 1803, he inherited a fortune from his great uncle, Edward Bolton, of Preston, Lancashire and Askham Hall, Westmoreland. He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford and Lincoln's Inn. In 1826, he bought the Umberslade estate in Warwickshire from Lady Amherst for £75,000.
