Pflugerville Independent School District (PfISD) is a public school district based in Pflugerville, Texas (USA). The District encompasses approximately ninety-five square miles and includes all or part of six municipalities including Pflugerville, Austin, Coupland, Hutto, Manor and Round Rock. PISD covers of land within the City of Austin, making up 3.4% of the city's territory. In addition to Travis County, it covers parts of Williamson County. In 2011, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. In 2014, the district installed solar panels at 11 of its schools. Pflugerville ( ) is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States, with a small portion in Williamson County. The population was 65,191 at the 2020 census. Pflugerville is a suburb of Austin and part of the Austin–Round Rock–San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was named after the original German settlers who farmed the area; means 'plowman'. Samaje Perine
Samaje Perine ( ; born September 16, 1995) is an American football running back for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma Sooners football, Oklahoma, and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Perine currently holds the NCAA FBS record for most rushing yards in a single game, which he set as a true freshman in 2014 by rushing for 427 yards against Kansas. Hope Trautwein
Hope Trautwein (born August 26, 1999) is a former American college softball pitcher and current graduate assistant coach for the Oklahoma Sooners. She previously played softball for North Texas, where she pitched the first perfect game in NCAA Division I history in which every out was a strikeout. High school career Trautwein attended Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas. As a senior, she led Hendrickson to a 27–3 record and a trip to the regional quarterfinals of the 2017 6A State Championship. She was subsequently named District 13-6A Pitcher of the Year in 2017. College career Trautwein began her collegiate career at North Texas in 2018. She made her collegiate debut on February 9, 2018, where she recorded five strikeouts in innings allowing two runs in the win.
