Hendra Purnama
Hendra Purnama (born January 12, 1997) is an Indonesian competitive archer. He competed as a member of the Indonesian archery squad in major international tournaments, spanning the World Championships, Asian Championships, 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, and the 2016 Summer Olympics. Purnama was selected to compete for Indonesia at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, shooting in both individual and team recurve tournaments. First, Purnama amassed a total of 655 points out of a maximum 720 to hand him a thirty-ninth seed heading to the knockout stage, along with his team's score of 1,962 collected from the classification round. The 2016 Archery World Cup is the 11th edition of the international archery circuit organised annually by the World Archery Federation. The preliminary stage consisted of three legs instead of the usual four, to make room for the Olympic archery tournament. The third leg was also the final Olympic qualification event. Competition rules and scoring The compound legs consisted of a 50 m qualification round of 72 arrows, followed by the compound round at 50 m on a 6-zone target face, using cumulative scoring for all individual, team and mixed competitions. Archery World Cup
The Archery World Cup is a competition, started in 2006, organized by the World Archery Federation, where the archers compete in four stages in four countries and the best eight archers of each category (from 2010, four archers during 2006-09) advance to an additional stage to contest the Archery World Cup Final. Archery At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's Individual
The men's individual archery event was one of 4 archery events at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The medals were presented by Uğur Erdener, IOC member, Turkey and Tom Dielen, Secretary General of the World Archery Federation. Competition format As with the other archery events, the men's individual was a recurve archery event, held under the World Archery-approved 70-meter distance and rules. 64 archers participated. Competition began with a ranking round, in which each archer shot 72 arrows. The scores from the ranking round were used to seed the archers into a single-elimination bracket.
