Hemmingsmarks IF is a Swedish football club located in Hemmingsmark in Piteå Municipality outside Piteå. Background Since their foundation Hemmingsmarks IF has participated in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club currently plays in Division 5 Norrbotten Södra which is the seventh tier of Swedish football. In 2005, they reached Division 2 Norrland, but their stay was short-lived as they were relegated at the end of the season. HIF play their home matches at the Hifton in Hemmingsmark. The club are affiliated to the Norrbottens Fotbollförbund. Norrbottens FF demoted Hemmingsmarks IF to Division 5 for the 2011 season as HIF are a feeder club to Infjärdens SK and are not permitted to play in the same division as their elite club. The Norrbottens Fotbollförbund ''(Norrbotten Football Association)'' is one of the 24 district organisations of the Swedish Football Association. It administers lower tier football in Norrbotten County. Infjärdens SK is a Swedish football team from Roknäs in Piteå Municipality, Norrbotten that is currently playing in Division 3 Norra Norrland . Background Infjärdens SK (abbreviated ISK) originates from three clubs: *''Långnäs IF'' (formed 1931) specialising in football, bandy, skiing, athletics and hockey. *''Rokna IF'' (formed 1932) specialising in football, skiing, hockey and table tennis. *''Sjulnäs IF'' (formed 1943) specialising in football. In 1949 Sjulnäs IF merged with Rokna IF to become ''Rokna-Sjulnäs SK'' (RSSK). The main activities of the club were football and hockey. In 1966 RSSK merged with Långnäs IF (LIF) to form ''Rokna-Långnäs SK'' (RLSK). Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Overview In the Division, there are 84 clubs which are divided in six groups of 14 teams each representing a geographical area. Piteå () is a locality and the seat of Piteå Municipality in Norrbotten County, Sweden. Piteå is Sweden's 58th largest city, with a population of 23,326.
