William G. Hemmer (born November 14, 1964) is an American journalist, currently the co-anchor of ''America's Newsroom'' on the Fox News Channel, based in New York City. Early life and education On November 14, 1964, Hemmer was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of William "Bill" Ronald Hemmer, a retired mattress manufacturing-company executive, and Georganne Mary (née Knittle) Hemmer, a homemaker. He is the middle child and second son of the Hemmers' five children. Hemmer attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic parochial school before graduating from Elder High School in Cincinnati in 1983. During his senior year, Hemmer and a friend started a radio program, playing fifteen minutes of music before classes began. He credits this time as beginning of his interest for broadcasting. Frank Hemmer
Frank Hemmer (born 28 April 1963, in Hagen-Hohenlimburg) is a West German-German slalom canoeist who competed from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. He won a gold medal for West Germany in the C2 event at the 1989 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Savage River, Maryland in the United States. He also won three bronze medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in the C2 team event (1987, 1989, 1991). Hemmer competed for Germany at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, finishing 13th in the C2 event. Hans Ritter Von Hemmer
Hans Ritter von Hemmer, (26 June 1869 – 15 December 1931), son of Colonel Anthony Hemmer, was an officer in the Royal Bavarian Army and Knight Commander of the Military Order of Max Joseph. He was born in Munich, Kingdom of Bavaria and attended school at the humanistic Gymnasium in Regensburg, then joined on 12 August 1888 the 11th Bavarian Infantry Regiment (not the same as the 11th Bavarian Infantry Division of World War I). In 1896 he was sent for 3 years training at the Bavarian war academy, followed in 1900 by two years at the Royal Bavarian Army General Staff, another and from 1909 he worked at the Prussian General Staff in Berlin. Then, from 19 September 1912 he was at the Bavarian Army General Staff. In World War I he participated in the fighting in August 1914 at the Battle of Lorraine, and part of the Somme. Jarl Robert Hemmer (18 September 1893 – 6 December 1944) was a Swedish-speaking Finnish author. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in six consecutive years. Biography Hemmer was born into a wealthy family, from Vaasa, Finland. His first collection of poems was called ''Rösterna'' (The Voices) and it was published in 1914. He made his breakthrough in 1922 with another collection of epic poetry called ''Rågens rike'' (Realm of the Rye). Mari Hemmer (; born 20 November 1983) is a Norwegian long-track speed skater, with particular strength in the longer distances 3000 m and 5000 m. She is the Norwegian Allround Champion for 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, the Norwegian Sprint Champion for 2005, 2009, 2010, and has also won numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals from national championships at single distances. Along with fellow skaters Maren Haugli and Hege Bøkko, Hemmer has in recent years represented Norway at the European Championships, the World Allround Championships and the World Single Distance Championships, as well as in the World Cup.
