Hemantha Jayasena
Hemantha G Nag Jayasena (born September 16, 1971) is a Sri Lankan-born Italian cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and leg-break bowler. Jayasena first played cricket back in 1990, turning out for Sri Lankan Premier League side Panadura Sports Club, though he lasted merely two years under their wing. Six years later, Jayasena was to discover a new lease of life as a cricketer, playing for his adopted nation of Italy for the first time in 1998. Panadura ( si, පානදුර, translit=Pānadura; ta, பாணந்துறை, translit=Pāṇantuṟai) is a city in Kalutara District, Western Province in Sri Lanka. It is located approximately south of Colombo and is surrounded on all sides by water; the Indian Ocean, the Bolgoda Lake and river. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out").
