Hema Singh is an Indian professor and actress. Her first role was at the age of 11 in the soap opera ''Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi''. She later attended the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi. After doing some freelance work as an actress, she became a professor at NSD. ''Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'' ( ''Because a mother-in-law was once a daughter-in-law, too'') is an Indian Hindi-language soap opera that aired from 4 July 2000 to 7 November 2008 on Star Plus. The show was co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms. National School Of Drama
National School of Drama (NSD) is a theatre training institute situated at New Delhi, India. It is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It was set up in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and became an independent school in 1975. In 2005, it was granted deemed university status, but in 2011 it was revoked.
