Christiern Pedersen
Christiern Pedersen (c. 1480 – 16 January 1554) was a Danish canon, humanist scholar, writer, printer and publisher. Education Christiern Pedersen was born in Helsingør, Denmark. He was schooled in Roskilde and studied from 1496 at the University of Greifswald. He received a baccalaureate degree in 1498 and from 1505 was a canon at Lund Cathedral. He studied at the University of Paris from 1508 to 1515, where in 1511 he received a Master of Arts degree. During his stay in Paris he developed an interest in writing, translating and publishing. At that time Paris was the undisputed capital of the still-new printing press. While considering writing a new Latin-Danish lexicon, he wrote a replacement for the 300-year-old Latin grammar, ''Doctrinale'', written in 1199 by Alexander of Villedieu, and still used as standard in the schools of Denmark at that time. Poul-Erik Høyer Larsen
Poul-Erik Høyer Larsen (born 20 September 1965) is the current President of the Badminton World Federation and a retired Danish badminton player who won major international singles titles in the 1990s, and ranks among Denmark's badminton greats. In 2014, Høyer became a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), he has been a board member of the Danish Olympic Committee since 2005. Christian Brøns
Christian Brøns Petersen (born 1977) is a Danish singer. In 2001, Christian took part in the first season of TV Danmark's reality television series '' Big Brother'', but withdrew in protest. Shortly after he signed with Spin Music releasing his debut album ''Du kan gøre hvad du vil'' in 2001. The title track from the album was chosen as the Best Hit on Denmark's P3 radio station. It is a cover version of a song written by Patrik Isaksson in 1999. Next single was "Tilbage hvor vi var", a duet with Patrik Isaksson and another major hit reaching number 1 on Tracklisten, the official Danish Singles Chart. Yuko Takada Keller
is an artist, curator and essayist based in Helsinge, Denmark since 1997. The first exhibition in Denmark was in 1996, container '96 in Copenhagen. After she moved to Denmark in 1997, she had many exhibitions there as well as other European countries and in Japan. Since 2002, she has been working as a curator, and has invited many Japanese artists to Denmark. On the occasion of one of her projects, she started a collaborative concert at her exhibitions. She has also written some essays in Japanese newspapers, magazines and so on. From 2004 to 2010, she wrote essays for JMM (Japanese Mail Media) as a Japanese citizen residing abroad. Anders Bircow
Anders Bircow (born 15 December 1951 in Helsinge) is a Danish actor and comedian. He is best known as a member of the comedy act Linie 3. Anders Bircow was born in the town of Helsinge, and attended schools in Nærum, Ramløse and Helsinge. He received an education as a bank worker in Helsinge, and later worked as a school teacher in Vorgod in Herning. He received an education as an actor at Aarhus Theatre, and have had roles at most of the teatres in Copenhagen. Bircow played guitar and bass in a band called Cokes from the age of 13 until adulthood. He joined Skuespillerskolen (Drama school) at the Århus city’s local theatre. In 1979 he formed the comedy group Linie 3 along with Preben Kristensen, with whom he had previously had the four-man group Barbershop Harmony, and Thomas Eje. Bente Hammer
Bente Hammer (born 1950) is a Danish textile artist and fashion designer. Born in Helsinge in the north of Zealand, she moved to the island of Bornholm in 1987 where she opened a workshop and boutique in an old smithy on Nyker Hovedgade, the main street in Nyker, about 7 km northeast of Ronne. In 2011, she opened a second store in Svaneke together with the jewellery designer Nina Schrøder. She is said to make "one-of-a-kind clothing made of handprinted textiles". She uses a wealth of different materials in her works and has created many colorful printed fabrics. Hammer has designed dresses for clients such as Queen Margrethe and the actress Ghita Nørby.
