Helmut Baierl
Helmut Johannes Baierl (23 December 1926 Rumburk, Czechoslovakia – 12 September 2005 in Berlin) was a German playwright and vice president of the DDR Academy of Arts, Berlin. He was born in Rumburk (Czechoslovakia) and died in Berlin. Rumburk (; german: Rumburg) is a town in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 11,000 inhabitants. It lies on the border with Germany.
